About Us

WHO IS DUNBAR ROVERS FC (STATE LEAGUE)...?

Established in 1991, Dunbar Rovers FC (named after a former local Paddington hotel) has developed into one of the most successful grassroots football clubs competing in the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) in Sydney. Having started off with one team, there are now no less than 20 adult teams plying their trade at various levels, including Men's Over 35s and Over 45s teams, as well as four Women's teams. In addition to this, the club also fields Juniors in the age groups Under 6 to Under 12.

The club's flagship team for numerous years has been the Men's First Grade, the pride of the club. Having twice won the prestigious NSW Champion of Champions competition (2008 and 2014) in the last six years, the highest level of competition at local Association level football, as well as five ESFA Premier League titles in the eight year history of the competition, the club decided that it was the right time to see if we could compete at the Elite level of football in NSW.

Football NSW granted the club entry to State League for the 2015 season. As a result, the club will field two Men's teams (First Grade and Under 20s) in the NSW State League 2 competition. In addition, the First Grade outfit will also play in the Westfield FFA Cup for the first time this year.
